So this week went by pretty fast and great. First of all that I forgot to mention last monday about a lady that came to church on sunday. She came from a town half an hour away and she wasnt told to come and she didnt even know when the services started, but she came exactly 20 minutes early. All the sisters were all around her and they all love her. She asked for a blessing and signed up to help clean a sisters house (who was recovering from a surgery). We visited her monday in that sisters house and later wednesday in Xico where she lives. It was great she told us that she left her christian church in september and shes been feeling a little lonely ever since being without a church. So she said that a week ago sunday morning she told her daughter that she was going to find a church and she had prayed and took a bus to coatepec and prayed again and walked right to our church. Its really a miracle and this sunday she told us that she prayed that one of her families would go with her to church and her granddaughter went with her.
A funny thing that happened there the first day we visited her in Xico is that afterwards my companion had to go to the bathroom and we had already left. So we went to the park by the gigantic church to ask and by the secondary entrance to the church we asked some people and they told us to go on in past the big room into the courtyard and there would be bathrooms there. So the first time in my mission I walked into the big church in my church clothes and everything. It was weird and the people gave me curious looks.
Also we baptized one of our investigators this week. His name is César and we have been working with him for about a month. He is great and noble (its the word that people here use most to describe a great person). We have had to work a bit but he is great and the baptism was a very special experience. There was a family from a ward in Xalapa who was helping him and teaching him and they all came and he has really felt a big change in his heart and everything in his life is changing.
Ok to answer your questions...Yes there are a lot of laundry mats here. Yes I walk most places but my area has lots of little towns so we take a lot of buses and whenever we are running really late we take a taxi. Also every district meeting we have to take a bus and taxi to Xalapa so the trip is $100 pesos every time. Thanks for the letter mom and I have lots of letters in the offices that I will pickup so that makes me really happy too. Thanks for being safe and keeping everything good for when I get back some day. I love you all so much.
